Oumie is a final year student at the University of the Gambia studying Information Systems. She worked with women-tech organizations with mission and vision to empower more women in the technology field. She also work with the Hackathon-Girls Banjul on projects geared to encourage more women in technology field.She is a tech enthusiast and her motivation of work is on community service through volunteerism. She also work with Mozilla Club(Banjul) on open projects to teach primary school children to be able to read, write and participate on the internet in a responsible way. She believe in empowerment through education initiatives to build on the capacity of young girls in the IT-related field.
